Torque Driving is a consulting and training business specialising in meeting the clients’ specific needs and focuses most commonly on driving safety within the workplace, bespoke training needs for the unique and different, fit for purpose fleet selection, new vehicle testing, research and development, motorsport coaching, and training design and delivery.
Our experienced instructors are selected specifically and carefully to ensure they not only have a high level of subject knowledge, but they are also the best possible choice to deliver training within their specialist field.

Meet Our Professional Torque Team
Tim Hughes
Our Driver Training and WHS Consultation services are led by our General Manager, a Subject Matter Expert with over 30 years of cross-sector experience. His background provides a rare intersection of forensic crash analysis, law enforcement, and high-performance automotive evaluation. This leadership ensures that our safety solutions are not merely theoretical but grounded in empirical data and decades of frontline operational experience.
Being a member of the AHG & RAC Driving Centre teams between 2007 and 2016 and playing an integral role in operating the driving experience Supercars Perth; I am experienced in facilitating both accredited and non-accredited courses including Defensive and Advanced Driving, Commercial and Recreational 4WD, Emergency Driving for Police, Fire and Ambulance; Motorsport Coaching in various disciplines including Club Track Days, Exotics, V8 Supercars, GT Production and Tarmac Rally.
In 2015 my industry experience and my qualifications as a Forensic Crash Analyst segued me into the interesting role of vehicle testing and evaluations for specialist workplace applications within the WA Police and the Government of Western Australia. This research and development experience now presents me as a valued asset capable of branching into a wider space within the motoring industry.
I continue to actively seek out opportunity to take on new challenges and help create a widespread positive attitude towards safer driving.

Torque Driving training professionals hold certifications that meet the requirements of the national Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) and Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
The team have training backgrounds and experience in motorsport, mining, emergency response, 4WD, television and movie production, chauffeuring services, close personal protection, covert operations, public safety, investigations, leadership, management, training design, policy writing, risk mitigation and WHS.
